An exciting Guided Tour through our Pfalzmuseum Forchheim: Get an inside view and learn about the past and present of the picturesque former Prince-Bishop Castle in Forchheim. The "Highlight-Tour” offers a 60 – 90 minutes stroll through the castle with its late gothic murals and its three museums:
The Archaeological Museum of Upper Franconia, a branch of the Archäologische Staatssammlung Munich, presents the visitor a significant variety of artifacts of Upper Franconia from the prehistoric time.
In the Town Museum the visitor learns about 1200 years of the past of the city of Forchheim through nine visually and audible beautifully arranged stages of local history.
The Museum of Traditional Costumes preserves the knowledge of some of the last traditional dresses of the region: A dearly arranged collection of unique originals of the Franconian Switzerland brings you back in time and tell stories about their former owners and purpose.
